Tracy Famous is Of Counsel for Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. and a member of the firm's Workers' Compensation Group. She confines her practice to the representation of employers and insurers in workers' compensation matters within the state of Pennsylvania.
She has worked as a risk consultant for self-insured companies and those engaged in high risk industries such as trucking, lumber, waste hauling, and construction. Her work as a risk consultant has required her to work closely with safety and workers' compensation managers in troubleshooting their program, making it more safe, efficient and cost-effective overall. In numerous cases, Ms. Famous has succeeded in saving companies several hundred thousand dollars in insurance premiums in one policy year.
In addition to being a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, Ms. Famous is also a member of the Pennsylvania Self-Insurers Association, the National Council of Self-Insurers, and the Risk and Insurance Management Society. She is also a frequent lecturer on issues related to work injuries and their prevention.
Ms. Famous is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
In 1984, Ms. Famous graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law in 1987.
